the festival programme is on the website. Copies are £5. If you have a season ticket, you should already have received one in the post (one per household, collect others when you get here).
Derek (in Sidmouth)

I think it has been a pretty traditional event over many years for Great Western to kick off the week on the Thursday (ie tomorrow!).
So, I suppose you could call it quasi-official!!
Mind you. Have never managed to get there on the Thursday!

the are at the methodist hall on the 5th and 6th. can't exactly remember the time but if you look in the programme which can be accessed on line you'll see the details. There are some particular songs we will be looking at which lend themselves to particular harmony formats but Watercress O seems like a good idea Richard,if you're coming and you really fancy doing it could you arrange to have some copies of the words available to share around. thanks for all you interest. M

But Friday is DAY 1 in the program - though like the laws of thermodynamics, I suppose there has to be a DAY 0 if required.

The workshops are to be held on DAY 7 and 8.

Terry - I think the festival actually starts officially on Thursday 29 July - at least, Great Western dancing in the Market Square is an official festival event, not a pre-festival event.

Is that the pre-event Thursday and teh opening Friday, or the other ones? It sounds fun. I suggest "Watercress-O".

Just to let people know that as Roger Watson wont be at Sidmouth, the harmony improvisation workshops that he was scheduled to run on the Thursday and Friday will now be run by Moira Craig and Sarah Morgan. We will be exploring vocal harmony improvisation rather than instrumental and the oportunity could be that if time permits, we might look at particular songs that people bring to the workshops to use as examples. Hope to see some of you there, Moira X
