Anyone know the guitar tuning for "the old Cotswold legbar" on the mother of all morris? The tune is in D but possibly using a capo.

I find daDf#ad, pretty satisfactory, fairly easy for thumbpicking a melody which might possibly suit this tune if its a morris tune.

I'm playing it in dropped D, which is reasonable, but not as "chordal" as the tune sounds on record neither does it seem to work in dagdad I wondered if it was one of those awfully clever tunings that Martin Simpson and Chris Wood use.

when I said chordal I meant more "open tuned"
