Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any folk nights occuring around Brighton over the next few weeks? Had a look online but nothing came up really... Trying to find traditional Irish/Scottish/English stuff.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, that'd be great :)

Thanks in advance!

Katherine

Come and see us at the Lewes Saturday Folk Club - we only stop if Christmas, New Year or Bonfire fall on a Saturday.

There's a free English tunes session in the John Harvey Tavern in Lewes on Tuesday 3rd. August. It's always on the first Tuesday evening of the month. This month Tony Dunn leads on Anglo concertina.

Bring an instrument, stepping feet or whatever. The pub does good reasonably-priced food, too. Come and say hello. Bryan TheSnail plays English concertina and fiddle, and I play English concertina (treble & baritone).

I play accordion but I'm a beginner really, and not too sure about actually playing with other people yet... So I was really hoping just to listen, but maybe I'll bring it along anyway and see how it goes :)
