Hi Guest

Just to clarify - it's not exactly a pub gig. We've hired the upstairs room and will have a proper box office on the door, so the evening is a sit-down entirely acoustic concert rather than a thrash in a public bar.

Sorry if the price is putting you off. However, if you'd like to come and see us on the same evening as a rather more 'known' act, we'll be opening for Cloudstreet on 9th September in Coventry (tickets and info can be found here.)

Kitty - thanks for the kind words! We had a great time at WHFF - our first time but hopefully not our last!

All the best

Chris

Given their pedigree, they aren't exactly unknown!

Thanks Chris for a brilliant set with Isambarde at last night's concert at the White Horse Folk Festival in Grove.

Unfortunately I won't be near Lower Brailes on Thursday, but I hope your gig with Becky goes well.

All best wishes

Kitty

£7 is a lot to ask for an unknown duo doing a pub gig.

Not this one, I'm afraid. Enjoy the beer, and let us know if any further recordings arise!

I take it you won't be coming to the gig though Becky? :-)

Very cool! (in an 18th century way, of course...)

Hi all

Just to let you know I've teamed up with ace accordionist Becky Price (of Boldwood) to form a new duo. We play English tunes mainly from the 18th century, most of which have been researched by Becky and therefore haven't been played in public for around 250 years. We have a myspace with a couple of demo tracks on and we're doing our debut gig on August 19th at the George, High St, Lower Brailes, Warwickshire. Tickets are £7 each and available by calling Jude on 07535 130975. Alternatively you can book online at wegottickets.com or even turn up on the night and give us money! Doors open at 7.30, the music starts at 8 and the beer is a) splendid and b) available all evening.

Support is provided by Sophie Matthews (English bagpipes) and Tony Millyard (hurdy gurdy). See you there!

Chris :-)
