Hi All

Somehow, somewhere, some images I had in storage have been changed to a .pdd file. Can't open them for love nor money. I recall that they used to be .jpeg files, but after several backups and new hardware, who knows.

It's kind of important, because one of the images is of me on stage with Tom Rush, and I surely would like to view it again.

So - all the tekkies here, do you know of any program or technique which would allow me to open these image files?

Thanks in advance
Mark

If the files have not been changed but their extensions have merely been changed your first experiment would be to rename one of them ".jpg" and see if it then opens in your normal graphics or viewing program. If so, one solution is to do a batch renaming of all PDD files.

There is an opener tool available here.

.PDD files are created by Adobe Photo Deluxe. IF you do not have Photo Deluxe I don't know how the name swap occurred. Adobe gets obstreperous sometimes.

The following apps will open them directly:

Adobe PhotoDeluxe info
Adobe Photoshop CS5 info
Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 info
Adobe Illustrator CS5 info
Adobe InDesign CS5 info
ACD Systems Canvas 11 info
