I didn't start this damn thing up again for any great humanitarian purposes. It was starting to clog my machine!

Katlaughing. Do something!

Rick

I say if the Possum get his own page, then by God Eddie ought to get one as well!

Lord knows he's gettin' plenty of air time here!! This is about it though I gotta' tell ya'......Maybe we could narrow down to ONE icon..........oh, say...Fast Eddie Riding a Possum thru a Jell-O Pit Playing a Tiple.

Okay, so where is the dork? I've had it with this miserable jackleg. What's the job that's got his 'roidded red rump so tied up that he can't do a little thing for Kat? I mean, so what's this Peckerwood do...I know he can probably suck a root as long as a rake handle, but you know, besides that.

Fast Eddie my ass..............

Why,thank yew, LEeJ!

Holy bat-guano, C'spaw! And, Rick, you, too??? I'd asked for a decent burial, but NOOOO, YOU had to go and start another! You must like the healthy blush it's bringing to m'cheeks, eh?

Now, m'dears, I did do something! I've emailed him the latest excellent poems written with him in mind, by seed and LEeJ. If that doesn't spur him on, with a deep desire to live, well then, I do just give up. Maybe someday.....I AM trying to learn not to jump the gun, but ya know....Kats are awfully hard to train, they've got such minds of their own!

Maybe next I'll just send him an email about what Mick calls an Irish woman under full-sail, griddle in hand and red-on-the-head as well! He has seen me when MY Irish temper is up and I KNOW he doesn't want it directed at himself!:-) (That's a story: I damn near walked off the job when the jerk who was the Director of the Center for the Arts, came up to ME, an independent contractor, and told me they weren't paying me to sing while I made copies on the damn copy machine! That week on my bill I deducted 5 minutes off my total hours for singing; the dolt thought it was a joke and laughed about it!)

Ah, weel, Eddie had better watch out....it'll be a righteous Boudicca and her band of Merry Mudders after him, next!

Just for the record, my darlings, I actually did email Hiroshi Ogura at the university in Nevada. I asked if he was the one who inquired about 10 pounds of possum in the headlights...........funny, he never answered!

Careful, guys! Kat's reading Margaret Murray's God of the Witches right now, so you can guess with whom she might be in league. Protect your backsides!

Margarita, the Hiroshi I posted the link for is at the U of AZ. Judging by the number of folkie websites (including the DT) on his link page, as well as a link to Dr Demento, I'll bet he's the correct Hiroshi. Can I collect a finder's fee?

I dunno'........I've tried everything......Polite to wholly obnoxious. Over three threads I've read some of the funniest and most intelligent humor, but I fear dear friends it's all to no avail..........No Eddie, fast or otherwise..........We HAVE met a couple other Edd(ie)(y)'s for which I'm happy, but Kat's Eddie remains missing........lost in the ether..........My depression is fathomless......Get the Zoloft..............

His name wouldn't be Eddie TousacatchacammadosanearadosanokaSammacammawatchee Brown, would it? Perhaps it is taking so long to load his name that....

Ok, it's time to bring this to a close. Katlaughing, sit down. This is going to be a bit painful. NO, NO! take that leather bustier off! Not THAT kind of painful.
I know you think Eddie is a real flesh and blood person, just waiting to do your every bidding - but he's all in your MIND dear. We've met your real friends and they would never put business ahead of some mindless blathering on the Mudcat. Take Catspaw for example. (please) Do you think Karen still laughs at his "tipple" jokes, or the time he put batteries in his possum, climbed into bed and....well maybe I won't go there!
Or how about Peter T.? Claims he writes reviews for "DiCaprio's Extreme Close-ups Fan Page", and then spends the rest of the day riding hounds.Oops, I meant riding TO the hounds!
"Seed" of course has been terribly busy since 1963, cutting and pasting his head and banjo over bogus pictures of Lee Harvey Oswald. He still hasn't got the shadows right.
Margarita and Jeri spend 8 hours a day fantasizing about imaginary Japanese Bluegrass bands wearing combat boots.
Big Mick? Well the last time I looked he was shampooing henna through his beard, listening to Dennis Day's "songs of mild resistance" and brandishing a ruler while screaming "Grow, damn you, grow"!

THESE are your friends, Kat, and as you know they'd never leave you hanging out to dry. Drop this Eddie! Real or imaginary, he just isn't there for you.

Dr. Rolph (pronounced "rafe") Flunderblunken. PHD, LSMFT.

Pay no attention to Roberta Delmore, Kat, she spends too many hours poring over one sided 78's, obscure " Spurs that Djingo, Django, Djingo" bands, and snuff leather carvings. She deludes herself into thinking that Real Audio will actually work, that Washington Square will become a beacon for folkies again, and assorted other idiot delusions. Whether Eddie exists or not is a minor blip compared to Roberta's tenuous grip on reality. Keep the faith.
yours, Peter T.

Margarita, there's a Dr Hiroshi Ogura who wrote "Reevaluation of the Gas-Phase Valence Photoelectron Spectra of Octaethylporphyrin," and then there's the grad student Hiroshi Ogura at the University of Arizona. You sure you e-mailed the right one? I can do a further search and see if the Dr wrote a paper on it.

Rick, I'm actually fantasizing about you meeting up with the combat boot clad Japanese bluegrass bands, and listening to the ensuing "you don't exist," "yes we do," "no, really - I'm sorry, but you don't" arguments. Rick, are you absolutely sure you exist?

The deed is done. I emailed Hiroshi Ogura. Hah! Can you imagine what a strange email it would be if he had nothing to do with it? If he wants the lyrics, I'm gonna have to consult SandyBob. I think it was him that sang it at song circle.

Of course Rick Fielding exists, Jeri. Barbara made him in her little oven, just before she made Cleigh O'Possum. She decided not to send him to Patsclaw, though, because he was too big for Paw to stuff up his butt. --seed

Sasquash is real I smelt him once (just like a skunk) on a vision quest in a grotto 3000 feet up august 2001 right at dusk. He's my totem.
