Subject: RE: Whitby Euro session this Sunday From: Leadfingers Date: 22 Aug 10 - 03:26 PM Any of the French tunes actually worth playing asked the Devout Francophobe ! Horses Brawl and Le Canalle en Octobre are the only decent french tunes I've ever heard !! And Ducks for Cover ! |
Subject: RE: Whitby Euro session this Sunday From: Steve Lane Date: 22 Aug 10 - 03:19 PM As expected much fun had by all even if it was a bit stuffy. Plan to do it again tomorrow (Monday) same time, same place but in a part of the lounge where there is some oxygen. There must have been over 30 there today so the jungle drums are working. |
Subject: Whitby Euro session this Sunday From: Steve Lane Date: 19 Aug 10 - 07:17 PM Last minute arrangements for Whitby week but if anyone is interested there will be a get together in the Resolution lounge bar this Sunday (22nd) from 3-5pm. We plan to play a bunch of French and maybe other European tunes on hurdy gurdy, bagpipes, dulcimer, concertina, melodian and whatever anyone else brings. All welcome. If we enjoy ourselves enough we might do it again later in the week. |
