Hi

I have recently been using a new laptop with Windows7 for the first time.

I notice that at the top of the screen I keep getting messages that are apparently RSS feeds ?? I don't get them on my Vista or XP machines.

What are these and how do I kill them if I don't want them.

I have managed to stop them accumulating in Windows Live Mail but they still keep chattering at me even though I have done this.

In trying to Google how to do this I can see loads of assistance on how to set this up but none on how to remove it.

Can anyone help??

Hey many thans for the instructions.

Just done it....I have a feeling though that the companies that want to make feeds just invade IE without waiting to be asked to send feeds.
But this will make it easy to get rid of them anyway.

Ah - Firefox doesn't seem to be plagued with this stuff.

I'm w/ Foolstroupe on this. I've been with Firefox for years. Love IT! Only use IE when forced to, as in commenting directly to some blogs or newspapers.

Yes you are quite correct. Firefox does not create this or any other
trash ( as I call it).

I use Firefox as my browser but EI is installed because on occasions some applications call for IE and I use it then.

PS Ft's solution seems to have worked - no feeds today at all.
