My son brought this band's web site to my attention today.

This project is a combination of music, film, art. I didn't know if it should be up in music or down in BS.

It is created by the Canadian band Arcade Fire.
You type in the address where you grew up (or another address that once was your home) and let all the file items load... then play.

The music is combined with film images that open windows including google street views and satellite in the neighborhood where you lived. Don't close the windows as they open... it is kind of a collage of images along with the music.

At the end it is interactive. You can write and/or draw something.

Enjoy (but I don't think it works on Firefox. I used Safari).

I didn't like having to download Chrome, but did. It is interesting. Not sure I like the different windows jumping around and, while I know the runner went with the lyrics, it was a bit distracting to see him in constant motion in whatever spot that window jumped to, but still very interesting and the google street views were accurate. I could see making short films using that technique...technology is really something, isn't it?

Thanks, Alice,

kat
