Last Friday night was the strangest night I think I have ever seen at the session at the Tap & Spile, York. A lot of regulars were missing for gigs and holidays, a new landlord and I was the only person present who had been in the previous week. By comparison it was a relatively quiet affair with only eleven musicians in, stragglers from whitby, tourists and Damien, Frank and meself of the regulars, a great night was had by all but so different from the usual rough and tumble. So as I said on the night thanks to all the visitors and please come again. (the thought has just struck me that one of the "regulars" had had a party and we hadn't been invited, nah!)

Eleven musicians and it feels deserted?

How big is this session normally?

When I dropped in last year on the way up to Whitby, it was a struggle to get in the room.

I thought it a pleasant change from the usual! Liked the banjo player and rather wished I'd brought my usual guitar rather than the thing I had with me.
