I knew Al very well from the early 60's until I moved to the UK in 1972. We were a couple much of that time, and good friends the rest of the time. His music was something I'll never forget, along with his love of Chinese food (and boy, could he cook!!)

I had no idea he had had any children and I'd love to know more about you; am I right in thinking there are two of you? I am so surprised that he never mentioned being a father; did he know??

Hello,

I knew Al from Kensington Market, he lived with my friend Scotty for a while on Baldwin St. Al as I remember him in the 90's, was a deep and brilliant man full of heart and...what a voice..like velvet. I still think of him so fondly and was so heartbroken to hear of his passing. He did speak to me about his daughter, and how much she meant to him. I remember thinking that the world would never be the same without him when I heard the sad news.

He was my dads uncle. Al's sister Theresa left my dad a photo album when she passed away. I have pics of Alfred.
