Well, here we are today, being told that they're about to cut back on street lights, as in cut them out altogether during the late night hours...and here in Jolly Ol' Devon they're even thinking about turning off the traffic lights at night too...

Hmmmmmmm...that's an interesting way to save money...

So I thought what better song to sing upon our new dark streets than

Saw an interesting thing on Autumnwatch tonight, where a section of the Thames was illuminated by downward, LED lighting, but only activated when people actually walked in the area.
It apparently encouraged bat life to get to their insect food source, which permanent light deprived them of, because bats are very wary of lighted areas!
