MGAS -- That seems to pretty much cover it. Guess I'd better see if I can manage next year. Thanks so much for the info! (Thanks to you, too, Noreen.)

This is the only on-line info I've ever found for Whittlebury S&A

It is a wonderful weekend for unaccompanied singing but you need to book well in advance to get a place. I spoke to Jeff Wesley when I saw him at Towersey recently and they are already fully booked this year and have had to turn several of their 'Regulars' away.

Maybe you could start planning for next year???

Noreen! Ta for the prompt response!
...you'd enjoy it

That's exactly what my friends said. ;)

Whittlebury sounds like it prolly is the one they were talking about... I've just tried to Google it; found no website for it -- or anything that offers any info on how to attend. Is it by invitation only?

Some friends recommended this event to me; said it would be taking place 24-26 Sept this year. I've Googled to try to find out more about it/how to enroll/attend, but the hits I get for "Song and Ale" do not have this date attached (indeed, the the ones I've followed up are for events that took place in June/July).

Anyone know if there is a Song & Ale Weekend coming up, or have I missed it for this year?

Many thanks for any info,

YY
