Subject: Narrowboats again From: Llanfair Date: 22 Aug 99 - 05:37 PM I just thought I'd let you know. After the Waterways festival, and rather disastrous gig, the owner of the narrowboats has decided to start "Folk on a Boat" once a month, starting on Oct.2nd. We set sail, well, set off down the canal, from Welshpool marina, Powys, about 8 ish, and there's a bar on board. Don't you wish you lived in Wales?!!!!! Hwyl, Bron. |

Subject: RE: Narrowboats again From: bill\sables Date: 23 Aug 99 - 11:36 AM Hi Hwyl Bron, As you live in Wales and are into canals did you ever hear of a bloke called Barry Skinner He used to be a singer in the 60s/70s from Coventry but I heard he moved to Wales somewhere and was into canals He is an old mate of mine but we lost touch when I moved to Yorkshire and he went to Wales He still owes me two old songbooks.
