The monthly shanty, forebitter, ballad session will happen at the Press Room in Portsmouth NH on Sat. 18 September from 3:30 to 7:30 PM.

And since it is September, this session will also be a dress rehearsal for this event. Hope to see lots of you for both - Tom

Really nice session. Started out a very intimate little group, but expanded dramatically before the first hour was up.

Let's see, roll call -- Tom and me, Mark Ryer, Jeri, Chris Maden, Barbara Benn, Jeff Warner, Alexander Thompson and Liz from Gloucester, Marty Stock, Justine and Natalie, a new fellow named Jim...

I'll amend this later (I took notes; my random access memory is getting more and more random; sigh.)

I'll also post a list of what was sung, played or recited -- I know Charley Noble will want to know. (Smile.)

Linn

Jacqui and I spent the day with Maeve and True Love. Sorry we missed this but we'll be at the festival.

Linn-

Happy to hear that you had some good singers attending.

We're recruiting some more folks over here in the UK to attend the next session.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble, resident in York
