Subject: Lower Coke Winter SIngs (not likely)
From: Richard Bridge
Date: 16 Sep 10 - 06:18 AM

Advance warning - I am unlikely to decide to run the Lower Coke Winter Sings this year, not least in that it could easily become a ground for dispute over my views about the Chaversham Hop Festival.

Oh go on, views are views! I was looking forward to these. I only done the one last year and enjoyed it, and have been busily learning ANOTHER song in preperation.

Why would your views on Chaversham Hop Festival impact on us singing/playing at this great little pub?

I just wish we could all leave our petty political and idealogical arguments at home, and just enjoy making music.

C'mon, Richard. Don't be a tease! You'd miss the sessions as much as the rest of us. It works and it's great fun. Keep it going.

Been following the Faversham Hop Festival thread. I don't see how it follows that Lower Stoke will be adversely affected by what is going on in that thread. Unless the landlady in that thread is connected to Lower Stoke?

To make it easier for you Richard, we could do our own cooking at home and bring along to share for afters! Also take turns cleaning up. I always worried you were doing so much before during and after these sessions. Didn't seem fair.

Come on Richard we all look forward to the excellent musical afternoons that you host in that friendly welcoming pub. Don't throw in the towel just cos they can't do the same at "Chav - Sham".

I haven't been reading the Chaversham thread, as we weren't going, so don't know the politics of it all. I just know that the one and only Lower Coke winter sing we attended was great fun, enjoyed, and appreciated by all. It'd be a shame to not do them.
