Subject: RE: Steve Tilston, Camden (London) 4th Oct From: Treacle Bolly Date: 01 Oct 10 - 10:07 AM He played in Bristol last week (at St George's) at a 40th anniversary concert, and the line-up included Keith Warmington on harmonica, who appeared on his very first album on the Village Thing label in 1971 ! Most of Steve's family also appeared (including daughter Martha who had rushed from a gig in Cheltenham), also Wizz Jones, ex-partner Maggie Boyle, American guitarist Brooks Williams, Chris Parkinson (accordion) and Hugh Bradley (double bass). The "Evening Post" reviewer gave it 8 out of 10 ! |

I am a little over half-way through and was up very late last night because I am having trouble putting it down. A great story, researched very thoroughly as Steve always does, yet his prose writing is different (but just as wonderful) as his songwriting. Just a Tilston Fan all way 'round. Debra Cowan |
Subject: RE: Steve Tilston, Camden (London) 4th Oct From: Herga Kitty Date: 02 Oct 10 - 04:01 AM There may not be trains going to Camden Town tube though, as it's a strike day.... Kitty |
Subject: RE: Steve Tilston, Camden (London) 4th Oct From: GUEST Date: 02 Oct 10 - 07:18 AM The tube should start getting back to normal by the time of the gig as the strike finishes at 7:00 on monday, will probably still be a little disruption but will be possible to get to Camden and certainly possible to get home |
