I'm using 1.3.12-Beta and when I select Export, it allows me to select Mp3 as the file type and there is a button for options, which will allow you to select the bit rate if constanr, or variable bit rate formats

So you might look at the upgrade, as it makes rhings easier

If it's the mp3 export bit rate you're looking for, it's: EDIT / PREFERENCES / FILE FORMATS

Sorry about this folks. I think I must be losing it.

I've just reinstalled Audacity 1.2.6 and need to reset the MP3 bitrate to 320kbs. For the life of me I can't see anything on the menu which would enable me to do it.

Can anybody help?
