Have you tried the Dragon Folk Club at Shortwood/Mangotsfield? I played there a few weeks ago and there were some good musicians who were very welcoming. Worth a try.

I sing traditional songs, plus some of my own, and looking for good musicians to work with me on the material. I tend to go for the slow haunting stuff, and you'd need to be into this too, though faster instrumentals could be an additional option. I've got some band experience.
