It nearly that time again! Music in the mountains October 15th 16th & 17th & warm up sessions 12th(tue) Kilgarvan (Jack Rogers) 13th Glengarriff (bernard Harringtons).

It's shaping up to be a great weekend. Blues singer Henk Vosse from Amsterdam, is opening proceedings on the friday night followed by open session in the bar.

Saturday starts with a trad singers/tunes session with the Jer (Jim) kelleher, from the legendary Roughty Valley Dance Band. Followed by a concert from the one and only Michael Jay from California. Singing the songs of Johnny Cash as only he can. Followed by open session.

Sunday has the regular young musicians, singers and dancers talent showcase. Not to be missed. Followed by tunes from John Buckley and friends with some amazing local talent.
Stories round the fireside, followed by the 'survivors session' or as we like to call it 'sore fingers time'.
It's all free all you have to do is get here. south west Kerry near to killarney/kilgarvan. just on the Cork/Kerry border

PS at some stage during the weekend we will be holding our traditional 'half yard of ale' competition. The record is 22 seconds. Are you up for the challenge?

No problem there is a bed here for you anytime!
and you are very welcome.

It looks easy, but more tricky than you think, we decided to leave the full yard of ale well alone. I wouldn't even think about trying it!!!!!!!

Just wondering if the open session on Saturday night has any of the Cúil Aodha singers or is it music? Not sure I'll make the earlier song session that evening.

A note from Holland.

Hi everyone and excuse me if my English grammatic is dramatic.

Niza is packing and I am rehearsing.
Not for the half yard of ale competition (however ???).
We are looking forward to meet you (again).

Hope to see you all
