A fab time was had by all at the Bore's Head sesh last night!

The free jug o'beer's been reinstated after Mr H's quiet word with t'organisers last time.

Plenty mystery guests including an unindation of identically garbed sport bikers from Norn Iron!!

Liz,

Your line: 'my cooky was lost and now it is found! ' is reminiscent of 'Amazing Grace' - Mike was merely responding with another line from there

This year, the Festival kicks off with an amazing set by legendary radio and TV presenter/writer/musician MARK RADCLIFFE on Thursday 7th October at The Crown Hotel. The first half of Mark's set will be "Outtakes and Cupcakes" where he'll be reading from his forthcoming new book, accompanied by delicious cupcakes supplied by local catering company Scrumptillious.

For the second half of his set, Mark will take to the stage for "Blues and Booze", with his new band The Big Figures, who promise to rock the joint with a bracing blast of bluesy rock. This will be an outstanding gig - don't miss it!

On Friday 8th, we are counting ourselves incredibly fortunate to have FYFE DANGERFIELD performing on Friday 8th October at The Crown Hotel. Following the recent hit he's had with a cover of Billy Joel's "Always a Woman", he'll be doing a special Words and Music Festival set.

Saturday 9th October sees the legendary MARTIN SIMPSON performing at Malbank Studio Theatre on Welsh Row. Martin is one of the most celebrated and venerated guitarists the UK folk scene has ever produced and his CV boasts some impressive musical names with whom he's collaborated or performed. Don't miss this opportunity to see him perform!

On Sunday 10th October, one of the UK's most talented and revered singer/songwriters - not to mention a Nantwich resident and a co-organiser of Words And Music Fest will be closing the set at the Crown Hotel.

THEA GILMORE's tenth album will be released in September and she will be breaking off from her UK tour to perform at the Festival.

Her fans will ensure this gig is a sellout so if you've not heard Thea before, book early to avoid disappointment!

Liz
