Hey - haven't heard that for years. Interestingly, it's from the same era as late Delmore Brothers but sounds much smoother.

Having once heard it, who could forget it, try as you might! That was one of the most cornball songs I had ever heard. "All those golden guitars lining the walls." Sounds like Hillbilly Hell.

Chuckling OD! I think my Dad liked it too. He saw the "corn" in it but it was a tribute of sorts. Let's see, I think Tex woke up just after Red Sovine and it was his own name next, right?

I remeber one line that said"...We lost old Marty Robbins, down in El Paso, a little while back..."

Wish I could remember the rest but it too, was a tribute song.
