Than you! I missed it the last time. I do appreciate it. I heard someone recite the poem when I was 15, and had several bad night's sleep as a result. I've been looking for it for a while now. It would be perfect for Halloween.

Oh, well, thanks to you, maeve, I've now found a neat site and looked into their short story competition which is free to enter and winner gets $300! (Usually, they have an entry fee.) I am too late for this year, but there's always next.:-)

LadyJean: Your question was answered, and the poem was posted back in June, here: Lyr Req: Poem Alan Grey at Waterloo

I don't know the title. I don't know the author. I do know that the poem is about a soldier named Allan Grey, who dreams of the dead dancing on the eve of Waterloo and knows that he will die the next day. It's a wonderfully creepy poem and would be perfect for Halloween. But I don't know how to find it.
