Well, I've heard an old song about animals... I cannot remember well the lyrics, but I can recall a few lines:

I could talk to the animals

I just googled a longer version, but I don't know if I should copy it here.

What always strikes me when I hear this song is that those who agree most eagerly are those who have most problems talking to their fellow humans. "My husband is an animal", "my wife's a vegetable" is what we hear. Are you sure you'd prefer what a rhinoceros might tell you? And aren't dogs considered such good friends because they don't argue?
