Subject: New Session in Chester From: Bru Date: 22 Oct 10 - 03:12 PM A new session started last night (Thursday) at the recently re-opened Cross Keys in Lower Bridge Street, Chester. It's a good venue, comfortable and acoustic-friendly. I've called it a session because that's what Ian, Frank & Mo call it, and it's certainly quiet enough at the moment for the finger-pickers and quiet singers. No car park, but there's on street parking outside. The landlords are friendly and on site. This isn't my project, but I'll pass on and answer and comments. |

Subject: RE: New Session in Chester From: Bru Date: 24 Oct 10 - 06:58 AM As far as I know the session is planned as a weekly one - at all events, we're meeting there again next Thursday. I'll speak to Ian as soon as possible and clarify what's planned. |

Subject: RE: New Session in Chester From: Ian Hendrie Date: 05 Jan 11 - 02:53 PM I have linked to this thread from the Canal Accessible Folk Events 2011 thread, assuming that most of the Chester sessions would be close enough to the canal. Could someone please enlighten me and tell me if any are further away than, say, a 30 min walk. Thanks. |
Subject: RE: New Session in Chester From: Dave MacKenzie Date: 05 Jan 11 - 04:30 PM Mr Happy's is the furthest away from the Shropshire Union at probably just under 30 minutes. |
