Sorry I won't be able to make it. I can't do evening only things that far from home on my bus pass. Sure it will be good though and everyone will have a great time.
Best wishes to you all

Wish we lived nearer, this looks great! Hope it all goes well, we're really looking forward to the festival in 2011.

Details on how to get tickets are available now on WTP's website

http://www.whats-the-point.co.uk/

and will hopefully soon be on the MFFF website.

If you are about and in striking distance of the South Derbyshire/NW Leicestershire border on 4th December it looks like being a good night. Fundraising is going to be very important this year due to cuts in Local Authority Funding for events and we would like to keep Festival ticket prices attractively low.

I feel a big ignorant now 'cause I haven't got a clue who 'Big Mick' is. Come to think of it I don't know who most of the people are on this site, well not by the names they use anyway. I have guessed a few rightly from their attitudes and comments but most of you are a mystery to me. Anyway the ceilidh should be a good night.

Is this the fundraiser Big Mick spoke of (of which Big Mick spoke?)

Fancy dusting off your dancing shoes in the run up to Christmas?

Moira Furnace Folk Festival committee are running a ceilidh/barn dance on 4th December 2010 at Overseal Village Hall, on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire border, to raise funds for next year's festival. Advance tickets will be £10.00pp including a fish and chip supper and will be available from Worthington, Scrag End, Hollybush (Oakthorpe)and Vernon Arms(Spondon) Folk Clubs amongst other places. Please PM me for details of how to buy tickets if you can't get to any of these clubs. There will not be a bar so it will be a bring your own booze night. They tell me the band and the caller are very good.....
