The lyrics from Sitting in the barbers chair, as I remember and understood them.
Ever so often I find myself sitting in the barbers chair.
I’m getting a new cut, might be a crew cut,
    sitting in the barbers chair.

    (Chorus)
Fare thee well, fare thee well, fare thee well my darling hair.
I want a good shampoo and some iky, sticky goo.
    Sitting in the Barbers chair.

My Daddy doesn’t need a haircut at all, sitting in the barbers chair.
Cause he's as bald as a billiard ball and his hair just isn’t there.

There once Was a girl who was creepy and weird, sitting in the barbers chair.
She asked for a shave but she had no beard, sitting in the barbers chair.

If your Hair is a very fast grower, sitting in the barbers chair,
don’t use any clippers, use a power lawnmower, dynamite isn’t fair

I know this from an album called On Top of Spaghetti.

This one:
On Top of Spaghetti and Other Songs https://a.co/d/4RYdtUa

"There once was a girl who was creepy and weird
Sitting in the barbers chair
She asked for a shave but she had no beard
Sitting in the barbers chair"

if your hair's in a very fast roar
while sittin in the barber chair
don't use any clippers use a power lawn mower
dynamite isn't fair

Fare thee well (fare thee well)
Fare thee well (fare thee well)
Fare thee well my darling hair
I want a good shampoo with some icky sticky goo
while sittin in the barber chair

My daddy doesn't need a haircut atall
while sittin in the barber chair
because he's as bald as a billiard ball
and his hair just isn't there...

I too am looking for this song

There was another song from the Tom Glaser album that I can never forget; “Dunderbeck”.
The chorus was:
    Oh Dunderbeck, oh Dunderbeck,
How could you be so mean
    To ever have invented
    The sausage meat machine
Now all the neighbors cats and dogs
Shall never more be seen, cause
They’ve been ground to sausage meat
    In Dunderbeck’s machine

I think you’ve got most of the verses of the barbers song between the various posts above, but the order of them is beyond my memory.

I’m pretty sure it’s from a Kapp records album by Tom Glazer and the do-re-mi children’s chorus called “On top of spaghetti” which featured all those songs. I have been unable to find an online version of the album

I know it's a different song but honestly, every time I see this thread title my brain sings it to "Here's to you, my rambling boy."

I loved that song!! I have been looking for it online to hear it again.
My daddy doesn't need a haircut at all
while sittin in the barbers chair.
Because he's as bald as a billiard ball
his hair just is not there
was the first verse.

Well, Every so often I find myself sitting in the barber chair
I'm getting a new cut, it might be a crew cut sitting in the barber chair.

Fare ye well, fare ye well,
fare ye well my darling hair
I want a good shampoo with some icky sticky goo
while sitting in the barber chair.

One verse goes.
Well if your hair is a very fast grower while sitting in the barber chair,
don't use any clippers, use a power lawn mower, dynamite isn't fair

From the thread title, I thought this was going to be a parody of "Fare Thee Well, My Dearest Dear," like:

Fare thee well, my dearest hair, fare thee well, adieu,
Since I have gone to seed and cannot accrue
A mass of curly locks, not even with Minox-
idil; a barren pate does now await.

I found this

Fare thee well
Fare thee well
Fare thee well my darlin' hair
I want a good shampoo with some icky, sticky goo
While sittin' in the barber chair!

My daddy don't need a haircut at all
While sittin' in the barber chair
Because he's as bald as a billard ball
And his hair just isn't there!

Polly Wolly Doodle
Whistling Willie

Oh, I went down South for to see my Sal
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
My Sal, she is a spunky gal
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well, fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana for to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Oh, my Sal, she is a maiden fair
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
With curly eyes and laughing hair
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well, fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana for to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Behind the barn, down on my knees
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
I thought I heard a chicken sneeze
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well, fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana for to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

He sneezed so hard with the whooping cough
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
He sneezed his head and the tail right off
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well, fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana for to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Oh, a grasshopper sittin' on a railroad track
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
A-pickin' his teeth with a carpet tack
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well, fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana for to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Oh, I went to bed but it wasn't any use
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
My feet stuck out like a chicken roost
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well, fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana for to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

POLLY WOLLY DOODLE

Oh, I went down south for to see my Sal
Sing polly wolly doodle all the day
Oh, my Sal she is a spunky girl
Sing polly wolly doodle all the day.

Chorus:
Fare thee well, fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay.
For I'm goin' to Lou'siana for to see my Susy-anna
Sing polly wolly doodle all the day.

Oh, my Sal she is a maiden fair
Sing polly wolly doodle all the day
With curly eyes and laughing hair
Sing polly wolly doodle all the day.

(Chorus)

I came to a river and couldn't get across
Sing polly wolly doodle all the day
I jumped on a gator and thought he was a hoss
Sing polly wolly doodle all the day.

(Chorus)

A grasshopper sitting on a railroad track
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
A picking his teeth with a carpet tack
Sing polly wolly doodle all the day.

(Chorus)

I'd been recently asked if I could sing any of Polly Wolly Doodle. At the moment of the request, all I could recall was bits and pieces of this childrens song. Much to my suprise noone in the room had ever heard it, now I'm curious if anyone else in the world is familiar with it.

No, but I know the Allan Sherman version: Fare thee well/Metrecal/And the others of that ilk/Let the diet start tomorrow/For today I'll drown my sorrow/In a double malted milk.

Why do you ask?

While sitting in the barber chair.
