Hi again.
I'm looking for melodies listed by Henry Mayhew in his 1850's interview with "Old Sarah". Please see my message "Where have you been all the night?" for the context.
"Moll Brook" is the next on my list.
Any info most welcome please.

She also mentions others including "God Save the Queen" but I think I can find that one :-)

With thanks & best wishes,
Lizards

Could it be Malbrouk (a.k.a. For he's a Jolly Good Fellow)?

Thanks - fantastic!
Just two minutes ago another forum where I asked the same question pointed me at

http://www.danceandmusicindexes.org/DFIA/Figure/Indexfc.htm

where the same conclusion is drawn. Apparently the first line of an English version is given: "Moll Brook she went to be shaved".
Now there's a good start - haven't got the rest of the words yet, I regret!

So I definitely go with this one.
Thanks again for the quick response too.
Best wishes.

I'm sure there has been a recent thread on Malbrook/Marlborough. 3-4 months ago.
