Hi everyone,

This is my first mudcat thread

T'other day I was searching online for some info on Nigel Denver - & on my travels I came across this :
The Hale & The Hanged
Although it's a very scratchy copy there's the entire album of The Exiles "The Hale & The Hanged" (from 1967)
for anyone who's interested. I'd heard their first album "Freedom Come All Ye" (from 1966)& loved it so I was extremely
pleased to be able to hear their second album too. There's also some other old Scottish folk albums there too
(inc the first Exiles album that I mentioned & a Josh MacRea album)

Just thought I'd pass it on - also wondering if anyone else has come across any old forgotten "treasures" worth mentioning?

Ok - that's it then - hope someone finds it useful

All the best
JB

I find reminders of songs that I left behind me quite often on this forum. A chance to wallow in memories of days-gone-by. Someone put up a post of a guy on YouTube singing 'Fanny Blair' a couple of weeks ago. The first, and most influential, Trad folk-song I ever heard.
