We had a great night with Hughie. Every time I see him he has new songs to sing and stories to tell.

He reminded us all that next year there's going to be a huge Boat Show in Liverpool, from 29th April to 8th May, and I thought I'd pass this reminder on. The main reason is that there's going to be lots of folk music at the event, mainly maritime, as you'd expect. I know that Hughie is booked (he's put together a band for the event, which includes John McCormick, who was the group's double bass player. Also booked are Three Sheets to the Wind.

For some details about the Boat Show you can go to the
Liverpool Boat Show 2011 website. At the moment most of the information is to encourage people to go to the show and to exhibit there, but I'm sure someone will put up details about the music at a later date, if not on that website, then here on Mudcat.
