Subject: Traditional English/Irish/Scottish/Welsh From: GUEST,LDT Date: 04 Nov 10 - 07:05 AM I've been watching Strictly come dancing recently (my mum has been learning ballroom & latin sequence dancing for 8 years plus). Anyway on the show they tend to use 'pop' music to dance to. I wondered what Trad Brit tunes/songs would suit what dances? Any suggestions? (I know waltzes are a bit obvious, but what about quickstep, foxtrot, paso doble, tango, Argentinean tango, jive, salsa, samba, charleston?) My ideas were: outlandish knight - maybe a paso doble or a Argentinean tango? courting too slow - Rumba Dark girl dressed in blue - Quickstep? Seamos polka - charleston |
