Only just got back from week's hol so didn't make it, as it was too late when we got back. Too true, these things need supporting to survive. The gentleman who plays the melodeon, (I think!) kindly popped round to remind me it was on before I went but I said I couldn't go to this one. Hopefully, he and the others he had contacted, made it and had another good evening there.He did say he thought several were going. It is a shame if it doesn't continue. I enjoyed all the ones I have been able to attend.

I agreed to help set up the singaround at the Hope Tavern in order to help the owner, who is very interested in music and a good guy.

It was never my intention to continue MC it or promote it after a certain point.

Initially, it was very well supported and that last 6 evenings have been very pooly supported, to the point that the facility is likely to dissapear if this carries on.

Richard Headland is currently trying to revive the night and carry on the good work.

Please give him your support. I know several singers are already going along this Wednesday. Richard does not have an e-mail to my knowledge, but if anybody needs his telephone number, then please PM me.

The next meeting is Wednesday at 8:00pm on November 17th.
