Bright Phoebus @ The Greystones

WEDNESDAY 17TH NOVEMBER - OUR FIRST BRIGHT PHOEBUS GIG AT THE LOVELY, NEW GREYSTONES PUB! (FORMERLY THE HIGHCLIFFE)

Bright Phoebus are delighted to announce that our new season of fabulous folk music at the new Greystones (previously The Highcliffe Hotel) on Greystones Road, will be kicked off by the magical melodeon music of Andy Cutting. Andy is an incomporable master of the melodeon, well known for his work with Chris Wood, Martin Simpson, Kate Rusby, June Tabor, Blowzabella and many, many more. He has recently released a critically acclaimed, debut CD with some of the most beautiful music you'll ever hear on it and will be doing his first solo tour in 2011. But we've persuaded him to come and be our opening act at The Greystones! And we can't wait for what we know will be a fabulous evening.
In our experience, Andy's solo gigs often have people listening in at the windows of a packed hall and he is a popular winner of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Musician of the Year.
Tonight he will be introduced by MC, NANCY KERR who will open both the first and second half with a number of her own .... and maybe join Andy on a tune or two?
A very special night, not to be missed!
Tickets £7.00 in advance and £10 on the door.
