looking for this for a friend cant find it on google heard it performed by jess arrowsmith singing it at topsham folk club on the 24 October (as part of melrose quartet)

I suggest you go to their website and ask them. I believe it was written by one of the members of the band.

It was written by Gavin Davenport who is in the band

Here is Crucible's page at Wildgoose Records. A further click will take you to a description of their album "Changeling." Note that Changeling is an album, not a song. It does, however, contain a song called CHANGELINGS (sic) LULLABY.

Unfortunately, that site has no samples, lyrics, or notes about the song—not even a writer's credit. (But a review says: "words Gavin, tune and singing Jess.")

Crucible's own web site has even less information.

Crucible website is a terrible state, mainly due to the fact that the band can't administer it ourselves and we are currently regrouping, reforming, and set to sort things out in a big way for next year. Apologies for delays to individual requests - a combination of very busy lives, minor crapness and solo and side projects just going live!

Somebody play some harp glissandos and sprinkle some glitter as the Fairy Godmother appears. She opens the baby's mouth and comments that its gums, normally pink, are white with pressure. It's teething!

What happens with teething? The teeth are literally cutting their way through the tissue. It hurts, and the baby cries and can't sleep.

I'm not up to speed on the latest method for dealing with teething, but announcing that the kid isn't yours is not one of them.
