1st and 3rd Wednesdays: songs mostly but not exclusively traditional
2nd and 4th Wednesdays: beginners'/improvers' tunes
5th Wednesdays: come all ye

"The Welly" Folk Club, Wolviston, Co. Durham on the northern fringe of Teesside.

Thursdays from about 8.30 (The Wilsons use an "ish" clock)
Guest night about once a month, usually on the last Thursday. Singaround other weeks. (Sara Grey and Kieron Means this month. See separate thread)

Run by Ken Wilson of The Wilsons. You can contact him via The Wilson Family Website

Traditional song and songs in traditional style, mostly unaccompanied. A friendly club where newcomers and visitors are made welcome. On singaround nights everyone who wants to is encouraged to sing.

Wakefield 1st Sunday after noonat Fernandes Tap trad music and mixed mainly trad song, 3rd Sunday pm at Bull and fairhouses ( prev k/as O'Donoghues) same team
Ossett at The Red Lion (nr Dewsbury) exit off m1 2 miles every Thursday trad Scots and English

Sheffield ~ Kelham Island 2/4 Sunday afternoons pipes/trad music and song
and a lot beside when not at the Sheffield Caroling sessions
