Subject: Whatever happened to ? From: MARINER Date: 19 Nov 10 - 10:40 AM Just been sorting out some of my old LPs and came across a couple that I didn't know I had. Both are Folk Groups from the 1970s and I just wondered what became of them .The first is a three man group from ,I think Scotland, called Drifterfolk. The album is entitled "All Kinds of Folk",recorded in 1976. The other is a five man outfit, consisting four Irishmen and a Yorkshire man, called Dingle Spike which is also the name of the album.Any ideas as to their progress or otherwise in the Folk World?.No idea who Drifterfolk were but Dingle Spike were Terry Conlan, Kevin Conlan, Jack McCarthy,Jimmy O'Brien and Paul Theasby, whom I assume was the Yorkshire man. |
