Well deserved but not exactly "breaking news". I thought it was pretty well general knowledge a couple of months ago.

Yes, I'm delighted for them too, and very pleased that the English Folk Dance and Song Society has recognised their many achievements. Veteran Music is wonderful resource for lovers of traditional music and song; the own-label Veteran CDs set a very high standard in recording quality and accompanying notes. I eagerly await all their productions, and have never been disappointed yet.

Matthew

Yes, I quite agree. And, of course, John's recording work has taken him all over the country and not just in East Anglia. We all owe a great deal to both Katie and John.

Congratulations Katie and John Howson (Directors East Anglian Traditional Music Trust) on being awarded gold badges by the English Folk Dance and Song Society for their outstanding work recording and developing traditional music, dance and song in East Anglia. This accolade is thoroughly deserved.
