Subject: RE: Obit: Anne O'Reilly - Goilin Singers Club From: Fred McCormick Date: 30 Nov 10 - 06:35 AM Jerry, I just wanted to add my condolences to all the others on this thread and elsewhere. I learnt that Anne was terminally ill at the Keith Summers festival back in May, but was told just minutes before the scattering. I managed to give her a hug, told her I'd only just learned, and told her to be brave. I think she was. Looking back, the strength and fortitude which you both showed over that weekend was remarkable. |

Subject: RE: Obit: Anne O'Reilly - Goilin Singers Club From: GUEST,Tom & Meg Wilson Date: 30 Nov 10 - 11:50 AM To Jerry & Family, Meg & I would also like to add our condolences. We remember Anne with great affection. We were lucky enough to share your company on both sides of the Irish Sea, but we particularly remember the time when she was so generous with her hospitality when we came, as guests, to the Goilin. Anne was an example to us all in cheerful fortitude in the face of great suffering. Never one to complain, she would always respond to enquiries about her health with 'Ah sure, but I'm grand'. In happier times, we shared many a laugh and that is what we shall try to take forward. Our thoughts are with you and all the family Jerry, Lots of love, Tom & Meg |

Subject: RE: Obit: Anne O'Reilly-Goilin Singers Club 29Nov 2010 From: GUEST Date: 03 Dec 10 - 07:58 PM Annette Munnelly I have known Anne for about forty five years, as a sister-in-law and as a friend. We had many a weekend away together in the old days and always had a laugh and a good time. She was a wonderfully caring person, not least to my own mother and father when I was unable to be near or help them. In recent times she bore her illness with great dignity. With the help of Jerry she made every day count, even made it to our Clare Festival of Traditional Singing in early November. I am glad to have known her and proud to have had her for a friend. May her sleep be peaceful. Annette |
