In the sixties & seventies, the Nitty Gritty in Madison was a music club, where Phil played on Sunday nights, sometimes with backup. I sometimes sat in on the jug. Phil died a good decade ago.

I had a guitar for thirty-five years that had the tag: Phillip Buss. Fretted Instrument Shop, Madison Wisconsin inside the sound hole ( I dropped a lot of picks in there learning to play). The guitar was stolen a while back, but I'm wondering if anyone in their travels encountered Mr. Buss or his shop? Mr. Buss, if you are still on the earthly plane, I surely did love that Gibson J-200? copy that you made called "Frederick" . Frederick, if you read this, it's time to come home.
