Subject: RE: Folk Club Survey - First Responses From: jennyr Date: 09 Dec 10 - 07:57 AM Arnie: This is pure speculation, but could it be that they raise money in other ways? Eg voluntary donations, raffles etc, rather than a direct charge. |
Subject: RE: Folk Club Survey - First Responses From: Arnie Date: 08 Dec 10 - 04:19 PM I'm surprised to see that some folk clubs don't charge admission for either singers nights or guest nights. How do they pay the guest artists? Our club charges an admission fee on singers and guest nights and this is the money that pays the guests' fees. Any money left over goes towards paying the next guest. |
Subject: RE: Folk Club Survey - First Responses From: GUEST, Tom Bliss Date: 08 Dec 10 - 02:48 PM Strokes beard slowly (which I don't have at the moment) and remarks in a deeply unconvincing Russion accent 'vairrrry eeeentairisteeng.' Yes, that seems broadly to concur with my own overview. Excellent work Graham. I do hope you and perhaps others on the FCO Forum(?) are cooking up something good to do with it. Tom |
Subject: Folk Club Survey - First Responses From: GUEST,Graham Date: 08 Dec 10 - 11:25 AM Hi After a strong start - the responses tapered off. See link below for first 270 responses (The comments at the end bring up some interesting points for discussion) Look forward to reading your thoughts http://www.gregsonlane.co.uk/surveyres.pdf Graham NB the survey is still open - (although I don't expect too many more responses) |
