Just listened to a neat past interview on Fresh Air on NPR of the Doors' keyboardest, RAY MANZAREK. They re-ran it, today because Morrison was just forgiven, posthumously, for supposedly doing the full monty in Florida in 1969. Manzarek said it was mass hallucination. But, that doesn't matter, what was fun and neat to hear was Manzarek's using the piano to explain how Light My Fire came about. What fun!

Thanks for the link. Ray has stayed as true to his friend's memory and legacy as Jim could have hoped.
Unfortunately, I believe the actions of a lot of redneck reactionaries in Miami led to Morrison's exile and subsequent death, and that can never be erased or taken back.

Agreed and well said, LeeJ. I was impressed with Ray's recounting and musical knowledge/talent.
