This is an open invitation to each and every one of you to join us at the Seven Stars in Foots Cray High Street DA14 5HJ to help us celebrate our first Christmas as the Crayside Folk Club - what a brilliant six months we've had so far - singarounds, open mike nights, guest artists, a festival with morris dancing and of course the DUCK RACING - yes it's all on YouTube!!

We start at 20:00 and have an extension until midnight - the last buses do not leave until approx 00:15 from the crossroads.

We have some great regulars and want this to be a really fun evening - if you're a regular, an old friend or someone who has not been to Crayside before, a warm welcome awaits you all - we like to think of ourselves as a "Folk and Social Club"!

Real Ale and Hot Food available, space to play and space to sit and chat.

Hope to see you there

Looking out on to blizzard conditions. Rochester is no go. Hoping for better on Monday. We have discussed the posibility of walking there. I think that will be too much, laden with instruments and raffle stuff. Bus is a likelier scenario, if they are running ok.

I live not too far from the venue and there were plenty of buses running past the end of my road today.

Monday is another day, the sun will be shining and we will be moaning because we have warm beer.
Did not try for Rochester as 4/6" of snow deterred me.

That's the spirit!!

Foots Cray, semi-tropical sun-soaked paradise on the doorstep of London. Destination of second choice for all those who have had their Caribbean flights cancelled.

I feel it may be in interest of everybody if I had a session in doors on this night.
" I sense a Tremor in the force? I would like to take this spot to wish everyone a nice Christmas and a nice New Year.
Regards to all Pierre.

Buses seem to be running with no problems.

Pavements and car park have packed snow and need care but the entrance to the car park is clear.

see you there :-)

About the same as last time then... I won't need to shop tonight, so no real need to traverse the carpark. Help with bringing stuff from the car would be appreciated though.

Well, we've never beaten the Bears to the pub before ! Woodsie was there of course, he's always first to arrive! Frank and co had heard that the snow would be heavy, so didn't come down. I've had their apologies. The rest of us "locals" all got there, including RTB. Mrs Bear's Christmas cake was lovely, and my mince pies (Mr Kipling) remained unopened. Mr Bear's quiz was a lot of fun, and thanks to the Pub's fuse box, the toilets had a definite romantic ambience.

A very merry Christmas to you all, and see you next Monday folks.
