Nothing wrong with that ollaimh! I see nollaig chridheil written more often than spoken locally but it certainly is used. I am not sure that there is a Gaelic word for "merry" so other words convey the thought. Nollaig Mhath Dhuibh would translate word for word as "Christmas good to you" (plural) and I believe Nollaig Cridheil would be something like "Christmas Hearty or Heartfelt".

In Irish you could say " Nollaig Súgach dhuit" which, literally would mean ..."A Merry Christmas to you"   but, it wouldn't be colloquial , or " Ní bheidh sé coitíanta" in Irish.
It is better to say :-

"Nollaig fé shéan agus fé bhaisc agut" = " A Christmas of Good luck and plenty to you"

Pity it's too late for 2010 though :)
