I am not familiar with this hymn. What are the lyrics? (Rather, what lyrics are you using? I can look up the version in the 1835 hymnal.) And what does S.D.A. mean on the first linked page? I took it to mean "Seventh Day Adventist", but it certainly looks like LDS material in many respects, and I would have thought it a dissident LDS links page if not for the "S.D.A."

Hard to imagine a John Newton hymn on damnation being so popular with the Saints and so unknown to the rest of fundamentalist Christendom.

I personally do not know this hymn, but was searching a tune other than Wheat and Tares, for a friend.
I found reference in LDS, SDA and some Methodist sites.
