I can look up the version in the 1835 hymnal.) And what does S.D.A. mean on the first linked page? I took it to mean "Seventh Day Adventist", but it certainly looks like LDS material in many respects, and I would have thought it a dissident LDS links page if not for the "S.D.A." Haruo |
Subject: RE: Tune Req: Though in the Outward Church Below From: Haruo Date: 01 Jan 11 - 02:21 PM Wikisource has the text And it figures in this fascinating LDS blog: http://www.stallioncornell.com/2007/11/weird-hymns.html Hard to imagine a John Newton hymn on damnation being so popular with the Saints and so unknown to the rest of fundamentalist Christendom. Subject: RE: Tune Req: Though in the Outward Church Below From: HWinWindies Date: 02 Jan 11 - 02:47 AM I personally do not know this hymn, but was searching a tune other than Wheat and Tares, for a friend. I found reference in LDS, SDA and some Methodist sites. Regards Harry |
