The man who composed and played "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free" has passed away aged 89. Despite being a leading figure in USA Jazz Mr. Taylor's best known piece is widely heard , but not perhaps known, as the music for BBC1 UK Film 2010. I beieve it was first used in the Barry Norman days.
There are fine vocal versions and the song was used in the Civil Rights campaign of the 60s.
RIP Mr. Taylor your tune will be around for many years yet.
