I thought Burns night was Tuesday January 25th ?

Whatever, if he turns up we'll make him as welcome as anyone else.

Devil Among the Tailors, otherwise known as table skittles but that sounds boring in comparison :-)

Eggibred, guests at the first Crayside Live back in November, will be taking an open mike slot on 22nd, possibly with an addition and performing as The Hog Eye Men.

It's coming together nicely

Then there's Don Thompson who we overlooked. Though I believe he was invited on Facebook.

Anyone who would like to help during the day would be extremely well received as we are a couple short through illness.

On the other hand if you just want to enjoy yourself you're still most welcome.

Wel I really enjoyed the day. The group of singers that included Stewart Pendrill & Paul Sirman - don't know the other's names they really transformed a good singaround into a racking singaround in the afternoon/early evening. Pam & Paul, Tony & Lesley, Graham, Pate The Hat, Pete The Prayer, and then later on so much talent on the open mic Rustic Ramblers, Quinunc, Chris Davidson, DK, and Empty Vessels - what fantasic violin playing from empty vessel Jim Jeram. It's such a shame that there is a big ? hamging over the pub's future after April this year.

And I almost forgot - a big thank you to Richard & Linda Neal for all the hard work they did despite poor health to make the day a success. What a fantastic sound from the PA - I wish we had such good equipment at Blackheath! Well done Rafflesbear old chap!

Blush.

One small correction is that Jim Jeram was unfortunately sick and couldn't turn up. His place was taken by local fiddler supreme Richard Moore and he was totally fantastic. Thanks to Graham Corbould for bringing him along and almost succeeding in keeping pace with him!!

Thanks to all the great players who turned out for us yesterday.

Really strange I was going to write that I haven't seen violin played like that since I last heard Jeff Moore play - are they related?

Well - it sounds like we missed an amazing day ! I've seen Fisheye's videos - and it looked like a huge success. As for the future of the pub- it's looking good for at least another year, during which we must help Mick Stokes to make the pub profitable. If all goes well, he should be able to stay there. The pub is a grade 2 listed building, so any changes should not impact on the building too much. In the event of losing our great venue, we have another in prospect, just up the road.
