OT but re the laptop. I found some instructions for my Fujitsu Seimens Amilo Li1705 on the Internet. (Remove battery to gain access to 3 screws, unclip a top panel and keyboard can be lifted to remove ribbon cable).   I found a web site selling replacement keyboards for £25 (plus I paid about £5 for next day recorded delivery).

It took me about 10 minutes to replace the keyboard. I thought it was going to be a lot more complicated and expensive than it turned out to be.

Thanks. I've just borrowed an external keyboard from another PC to use the laptop (which I've now found has just lost up and down arrow keys) and can confirm the converter is working from external connections.

At least I think it is and it might take a little time for my DNS changes to come through. Normally I'd check an external route (the other side of my router) using dial up from my laptop and dial up but on coming to my laptop this morning, I've found half the keys have suddenly stopped working.

The rest of the site remains down and I'm aiming for mid Feb but I'll have to see how things go... I bought 4Gb RAM for this PC and running Eclipse for the php rebuild work on it and one 2Gb chip has already blown and now the laptop I use for certain testing looks to be gone...
