Subject: Maiden pursued by bandits..
From: aprilfire@rocketmail.com

I am looking for a ballad concerning a young maid being chased through woods by bandits. The only part I can remember is that some of the chorus contains, "Run, lady, run..." Really need this ballad. Have heard it at Irish fests and at S.C.A. bardic meets. Please, if anyone has a resource for words/music I would appreciate it.

Guest points to Cumberland Trio, "Run, Ladies, Run." A likely suspect.
Run ladies run

I believe the song being requested is actually "Run, Lady, Run" by Ernest Clark, known in the SCA as Emil Allzuwissender. I was lucky enough to hear him sing it while he visited Calontir's encampment this year.
