I've got - like lots of other folkies - a lot of folk related photos.
Now, how can I place those photos somewhere so that I can create a link to them from the Mudcat forum?

There are dozens of photo sharing sites.

I use Fotopic

Don't you get storage space as part of your broadband deal? If so the simplest of progammes can upload your photos then post the link for anyone to view. It would be a great resource for historical photos. Open to abuse of course as all things are these days so posting low definition versions as well as saving space dissuades copying for nefarious purposes.

But then I'm old school and have never looked at fotopic or similar, I expect they make the whole task easy!!!

Mudcat has a site on My Opera as do a few mudcatters. I manage 4 sites there, my own & 3 organisations & it's very easy to use & even better, is FREE & has a very large capacity.

Photos are scaled to the preferred size when uploading. ps. I use the Classic uploader - the new uploader is like a certain new cola drink, not as good as the old one!

Mudcat Cafe My.Opera page

My Opera home (Opera is a browser but you don't need to use it to get a photowebsite)

Flickr free sites have small capacity, professional Flickr sites are larger & cost money.

Dropbox is a cool app that lets you upload files and share with folks of your choosing.

I would be wary of any guest asking about photos of mudcatters. Speaking as one of a fair few who have had access to photos abused on fake profiles, I won't be sharing and I will be asking anyone who takes photos of me not to upload or post links on mudcat.
