Jim Stewart, Bernie Houlahan and the late John Murphy

These three guys are some of the most talented and really nice guys I have ever met. John is sadly missed having left us too soon.

I teared up as I watched and listened to this, thinking about August afternoons and evenings making music at John's house in New Brunswick.

And I've always loved Jim's tune.

Dan

Bernie looks YOUNG in that vid! Heard Bernie play lots. Only met him once. What a gentleman.

I hear he's a great guitar player Kendall. >;-)

Even if I had never known the musicians shown here, I'd love this. Are there any other videos or soundfiles?

Wow, m! Great job and thanks! That County Down one is way "hair" with the Bata shoe store in the background. That was WAY back when we used to be able to buy shoes made in Canada, so long ago and far away. I really should go to the meeting tomorrow and see if Bernie braves the cold weather to attend, just to tell him of this thread if he doesn't know about it already.

Thanks again... and to Kendall for starting the thread.

Did you know that he is the last rightful Stuart king of Scotland?

He wrote a reel for me and called it, Kendall's Reel. It hangs on my living room wall. I'm honored beyond words.

That would be 'honoured beyond words' but we'll let it pass...
